Usage of Proparacaine Hcl:

For example: 15 ml Ophthalmic Solution
Usage : As an anesthetic to the eye during eye exams and procedures including tonometry foreign body removal sutures conjunctival scraping and surgical procedures.

Proparacaine Hcl Dosage:
Firstly : Short-term anesthesia: 1-2 drops before the operation an additional 1 drop when necessary
Secondly : Foreign body or suture removal and other minor: 1-2 drops / 5-10 minutes 1-3 times.
Thirdly : Prolonged anesthesia as cataract surgery and other: 1-2 drops / 5-10 minutes 3-5 times

HOW SUPPLIED:
Proparacaine hydrochloride (Proparacaine Hcl)ophthalmic solution 0.5% is supplied in 15 mL DROP-TAINER* dispensers.
Steps to use Proparacaine Hcl:
Deep anesthesia as in cataract extraction:
Instill 1 drop every 5 to 10 minutes for 5 to 7 doses.
Removal of sutures:
Instill 1 or 2 drops 2 or 3 minutes before removal of stitches.
Removal of foreign bodies:
Instill 1 or 2 drops prior to operating.
Tonometry:
Instill 1 or 2 drops immediately before measurement.
