Artemether Injection Nofalsi - H 6 X 1 Ml Drug Solutions

The combination of artemether and lumefantrine is used to treat acute, uncomplicated malaria in children and adults aged 2 months and up who weigh at least 5 kilos (kg). It may be used to treat malaria infections in places or countries where other medications (such as chloroquine) are known to fail. Artemether is a malaria therapy drug. Rather than quinine, the injectable version is used to treat severe malaria. It may not be as effective as artesunate in adults. It is administered through a muscle injection. Adult dose: 80 mg twice a day for the first day, then 80 mg once a day for the next four days. 480mg maximum dosage Children: 1.6mg/kg twice daily for the first day, then once daily for the next five days. Headache, dizziness, lack of appetite, weakness, fever, chills, weariness, muscle/joint pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, cough, and difficulty sleeping are all possible side effects.
