Bis And Isi Mark Certification For Byproduct Gypsum

Byproduct Gypsum are tested and registered under IS 10170:1982 as per BIS. This standard specifies the requirements and test methods for Byproduct Gypsum.
IS 10170:1982 covers Byproduct Gypsum which is produced in India in Phosphoric Acid Plants following WET PROCESS TECHNOLOGY.

Requirements:

Byproduct Gypsum shall conform to requirements of corresponding Standard.
Complete machinery should be available and be in working condition at the time of inspection.
Applicant should be the manufacturer of Byproduct Gypsum.
A complete set of Testing Lab Equipment is mandatory at factory site.
A Quality Control In-charge (QCI) should be appointed in company for regular testing.

Simplified Procedure:

Registration on BIS Portal.
Apply for Testing of Raw materials & Sample in any BIS approved Lab for the IS 10170:1982.
Once report is available, apply for inspection at factory site by submitting BIS charges.
BIS officer will visit the factory and do inspection. If he gets satisfied then officer will seal the sample, which manufacturer needs to deliver it to said Lab.
License granted.

Documents Required:

1. Factory Registration Documents & information (i.e. GST Certificate, MSME Certificate, Land records or Rent agreement etc.).
2. Identity proof of owner (Aadhar Card).
3. Manufacturing process flow chart.
4. Details of Authorized Signatory and other related documents.
5. Documents of Quality Control In-charge (QCI).
6.Laboratory testing report and other information as per BIS norm.
