Cinnamomum Cassia (Chinese Cinnamon)

It is the dried bark of cassia that finds application in enhancing the taste and aroma of various cuisines. Cassia is a small, bushy, ever green tree that is 18-20 mtr high and 40-60 cm in diameter. It has a straight and cylindrical trunk and grey brown bark. The barks become 13-15mm thick when they get mature.

Origin and Distribution: The Chinese Cassia that we offer mainly found in South China, Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar. Apart from these, this herb is also available in India.

Geographical Conditions: The plant grows at altitudes up to 300 mtr MSL. It requires daily temperature of about 23 degree C. Ideal annual rainfall for this plant is 1250 mm in about 135 wet days. The plant demands plenty of light and light shade during its tender age. Further, cool and wet condition is preferred for the cultivation of the plants.
