Kadaknath is a Black Meat Chicken (B.M.C.) Breed from India. It is also a native bird of Madhya Pradesh, reared mainly by the tribal communities of Bhil and Bhilala. The generally available colors of kadaknath are jet-black, penciled and golden.
Kadaknath is very familiar among the Adivasis mainly due to its adaptability to the local environment, tasty meat quality, disease resistance, texture, and flavor. though the meat of this breed is black, it is considered not only a delicacy of distinctive taste but also of medicinal value.
