Raw Material Description:Polydioxanone sutures absorbable sutures composed of Polyesters of poly(p-dioxanone)

Material Color: Violet.

Features:

A Good for high-tension areas or contaminated wounds
A Minimal tissue reaction
A Excellent handling, exceptional flexibility and pliability.
A Low affinity for microorganisms
A Bencryl-Plus Sutures retain 70% of the original Tensile strength at 2 weeks, 50% strength remaining at 4 weeks post implantation. Absorption typically starts near about 90 days and is complete by about 180 days post implantation.

Applications: Ideally used for general surgery, orthopaedic, Gastro intestinal & digestive tract (colonic) surgeries, for soft tissue approximation, especially in paediatric, gynecologic, plastic surgery, etc.
