Comparing with Nd:YAG Nd:YVO4 has higher absorption coefficient to pumping light and larger stimulated-emission cross section. Nd:YVO4i coordinating with LBO BBO KTP nonlinear crystals is able to obtain good frequency doubling making it an excellent crystal for all-solid-state lasers for near infrared green blue or ultraviolet ray output.
