Principle of operation : Profile projector is an optical instrument uses a high magnification projection lens which magnifies the image of component under inspection and the magnified image is projected on a large projection screen, the profile of the component is compared with a standard profile of the ideal component on the projection screen. The calibrated projection screen is used for accurate dimensional measurement. A high precision calibrated stage is used to increase the range of measurement for large size components.
