17-4 PH alloy corrosion resistance is superior to any other standard hardenable stainless steel. In most cases its corrosion resistance is as much as 304. If there exists the risk of stress corrosion cracking high curing temperature must be higher than 550a .( The best temperature is 590a . As for Chloride medium the best tempering temperature is from 550 a to 1022a . As for H2S medium the best tempering temperature is from 590 a to 1094 a . The alloy in the static salty water easily suffers from polluting corrosion orcracking corrosion.
